The world’s first gold dispensing machine arrives

Here’s a dispensing machine that you haven’t quite seen before. This is the world’s first publicly operated gold dispensing machine and has been installed at the Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. So once the oil moguls are done with drinking coffee from the golden tumbler with the golden spoon in it, here’s a new toy they can get used to. Other than dispensing gold, the machine is literally coated with gold (albeit a thin layer) and provides customers with a choice ranging from gold bars that can weigh up to 10 grams to even customized gold coins.
That’s not all, you will have almost 320 items to chose. The venture is not from U.A.E. though. It is part of a business operation run by German entrepreneur Thomas Geissler, who although tested the machine in Germany first, but launched in Abu Dhabi instead because of the region’s high demand for gold. After all, they don’t call oil “black gold” for nothing!
