Chrome surpasses 70 million users, up from 40 million last June

May 20th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Software

Google recently reported that Chrome currently has at least 70 million users, up from 40 million around the same time last year (June 2009).  Bad news for Firefox? Not really. Bad news for IE? Yes, absolutely. In the run for dominance for securing a total control of the web, both Firefox and Chrome are heading towards the right place. A collective market share of almost 32% [Net Applications] is a sure sign of success.

As for IE, the browser continues to loose its share. And at 59.95% it is the first time the browser is below the 60% mark.
