If you are lost in the ocean of the new iPhone 4 and iOS (originally iPhone OS 4), here’s another update from Apple. The company’s web browser has now a new version a.k.a. Safari 5. Of course as usual, Apple claims it to be “world’s fastest web browser”. As per Apple, Safari 5 is also the only browser that passes the Acid 3 test, which is ability to fully render web pages using the standard web technologies like CSS, JavaScript, XML, and SVG.

Certain interesting features include Safari Reader, better HTML 5 support (actually much better), faster rendering using the Nitro engine, additional search engine option using Microsoft Bing and better customization support.

Does this mean it is faster than Google Chrome? Well we are not too sure about that. But overall, Safari 5 is definitely a worthy upgrade.
