Literary Jewels

June 14th, 2010 | 2 Comments | Posted in Design

You may be thinking what’s so new about this jewelry? Yes, you can see rings, bracelet and necklaces but unlike others these are Literary Jewels which mean these are made of collections of pages from thick books. Actually hundreds of pages from a selected book are taken together and laminated to create this type of jewelry. For a shine these are finished with a high gloss.

Each colorful jewelry consists of  layers of writings, which result in a unique pattern; the beauty of which can be seen on the surface. The pictures below show how a volume is cut off from a book and then the space is utilized again to keep the jewelry. Literary Jewels has been created by Jeremy May.
