Germany takes legal action against Facebook
Facebook.com isn’t the most secured website, and we all know it. The world’s largest social networking website has been accused of having poor security control, a number of times by now. Recently, a German data protection office has taken legal action against the web-based company based in Palo Alto, California. Privacy laws are very strict in Germany, unlike most other countries. Hamburg office for data protection claims that Facebook has been “saving private information of individuals who don’t use the site and haven’t granted it access to their details”.
If found true the company can end up paying a hefty fine. Even search giant Google is under radar as Germany has launched an investigation to review the company’s Street View mapping program.
