Normally the packing box of a device or gadget has no further use after the recipient gets hold of the gadget. The designer tries to eliminate the very idea of discarding the box by creating a compact structure that not only serves as a holder for the iPod (during its transit), but also a charger.

Yes, the same box holds the device, has a chamber for the earphones and is the charger for the device as well. The manual has been used to seal the box.
