Augmented Shadow: An experiment featuring artificial shadows with tangible objects
What you can see above is just a part of the video which demonstrates a unique form of experiment and experience. The project is called the Augmented Shadow and makes use of ‘tangible objects‘ like cubes with ‘displayable tabletop interface‘ and projector,computer,camera in sync to create a world “maximizing the magical amusement of augmented reality“.
The creation uses a play of light and shadow to make this environment possible. One of the interesting part is that the shadow formation of the surrounding cubes follow the principle of Physics with respect to the light source but the shadows are not merely ‘shadows of cubes’ but little houses with shadowy figures in them.
