The best possible, clean and healthy transport for short distances is definitely a bicycle. But with it comes the most annoying factor of it getting stolen in neighborhoods. Here’s a lock concept from Steve Hunt which uses a mechanism of  sending an alert instantly to your smart phone if anyone tries to meddle with the lock.

Called the Halo, it is actually equipped with a wireless Eye-Fi card for sending the warning signal to the owner’s phone. With this lock system at least one gets to know whether his/her bicycle is safe. Halo has also been given a curved contour for making it easier to secure the bicycle with the lock.
