Every breakfast table, restaurant table…well, every ‘foody’ table has to have salt and pepper shakers. Designer Mike Flache has given the duo a new look by combining the separate containers into two parts of a polished egg so that one rests over the other. The sleek container of stainless chromium steel not only saves space but looks elegant as well.

Wondering if it is as stable as the looks suggest? The ‘Salt’ part has a knob like portion at its base which rests snugly in the hollow of the ‘Pepper’ part. Moreover the two parts are held together in place by magnets. The designer calls it the Spice Egg.
