Dismount Washer is one of the final eight concepts chosen for the Electrolux Design Lab Competition. As opposed to our normal washing machines, this device comprising of a chamber and an “energy stick” has to be mounted on a wall. Although the number of clothes required to be washed gets reduced in one cycle but it takes care of the space criterion which is always a problem in small apartments. The energy stick is a permanent fixture on the wall whereas the chamber which holds the clothes could be removed after washing is complete.

The system is equipped with a touchscreen display for the controls and uses high pressure steam for cleaning the clothes. The portable chamber also comes with a handle for easy carrying. Lichen Guo is the designer of Dismount Washer.
