Grass laden huge sofa in Britain lets you enjoy the charm of a drawing room, all under the sun
Is something wrong with the picture? That’s exactly what comes to the mind when you try to figure out the relation between the subjects featured above. No need to get confused, for everything here is real. This is in fact a grass covered sofa with a size that is multiple times more than anything in the market. Such green sofas have been built to lure the Brits out of their drawing rooms who according to data released by National Trust of Great Britain, apparently enjoy being on their sofa for around 43 hours/week (even in summer).
Instead of preaching what’s good or criticizing the people’s life style, National Trust has come up with the idea of the humongous sofas for inviting people outdoors to appreciate the sunshine in a very unique way. Ten such sofas have been built and placed at different locations in England [London to Northern Ireland].Each sofa has been structured from securely tied bales of hay with a covering comprising of sewn turf sheets [read how it was built]. If you are still confused about the man with a machine on the sofa in the above picture…well he’s just keeping it in the best condition for the visitors to enjoy. The green throne is also accompanied by a proportionately-made green table.
