Shoes with mechanism of adjusting height of heels

August 9th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Design

High heels are fashionable and stylish but is better to tread with when you aren’t in a hurry or not opting for a long walk [you wouldn't want to strain your legs or sprain it]. That is why here’s a concept  from Jerusalem Rivera which allows the height of the footwear to be adjusted as and when required by the user. The idea makes use of a Retractable Heel which allows a high heeled shoe to be changed to a low heeled one with a push of a button.

As per the designer, the button is easily reachable by the wearer with the shoes put on. The mechanism of the retractable heel imitates the functioning of that of an umbrella.
