Finally, after letting us know about the Streak’s price, Dell gives us the launch date. August 13th is the day. The much awaited Dell Streak will be available from Dell/AT&T on a 2-year contract, in case you want to save some money. In case you are not interested in a locked phone, the unlocked edition will cost you $549 a piece. The Streak features a massive 5-inch capacitive display and will be running Android 1.6 (which Dell promises to upgrade to Android 2.2, over-the-air). Powered by a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, Dell Streak is a combination of a solid IMT (Internet Media Tablet) and a cellphone.

If you are on a look out for a new smartphone, there isn’t quite any phone which can top the new Streak, especially when you consider the amazing screen.
