Sharp to launch 3D cellphone, no glasses required
Ok…let’s face it. Every HDTV manufacturer is trying to come up with a 3D edition, and even making it in a way so that no active shutter glasses are required. Sony, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, LG…and many more, have already joined the bandwagon. But how about a cell phone with a similar 3D technology and that too…no glasses required! Yep, that’s what keeping the folks at Sharp busy. Not only that, the cellphone can even capture images in 3D.
The technology is based on the same one used in Nintendo DS, that uses lenticular lens which do not require using glasses. The device is still in the prototype stage though. However, Sharp confirmed that it may be a reality before the end of this year.
