Samsung Galaxy Tab – the true iPad competitor, will now be available through all 4 major US carriers
If you think iPad is the only available solution for true multi-touch tablet computing, then you are wrong. Welcome the Samsung Galaxy Tab, a powerful/super-portable tablet computer, that can do everything the iPad can, and more. The 7-inch device includes a 1Ghz Cortex A8 processor, a 1024×600 screen resolution, 3MP camera on back, 1.3MP camera in front, gyroscope sensor, accelerometer, magnetic sensor, Android 2.2 (Froyo) and also packs in a 4000 mAh battery.
Overall, it’s a full-service device, not to mention the thousands of Android apps than can run on it. To make things better, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3G edition will also be available via all 4 major US wireless carriers, i.e. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-mobile. In fact, Verizon has recently confirmed that the device will be available “in the coming weeks.” However, in case you are not interested in 3G, you can also opt for the Wi-Fi only version. Pricing is still unknown though.
