Machine washes clothes with pedal power, saves electricity and environment
20 minutes of exercise everyday is good for our health…we know that. Well, how about then adding up some more benefits in this very 20 minutes. We are not talking about multitasking but a washing machine that functions in sync with an exercise bike. The equation is simple. Bike for 20 minutes and get one load of laundry done [cold wash]. In addition to doing good to your body and getting clothes cleaned, you save electricity and money, and eventually show your responsibility to the environment.
This particular idea was being showcased by Haier, the China-based electronics company at IFA 2010. The picture shows a Haier GAEA Washer and Dryer machine with an exercise bike hard wired to it. They plan to move forward with the idea of mass scale production based on the response they get.
Would you like to have such a machine?
