Milk Carton Castle, the largest structure from recycled components

Milk carton castle? If you haven’t come across one then have a look at these pictures which boast of the largest such castle built. Created with 50,000 used milk cartons, it was erected at Granada, Spain in May 2010. It is said to be the biggest structure made with recycled materials and has entered the Guiness World Records.The huge collection of cartons were made possible by about 5000 primary school children who were told to collect as many waste cartons as they could. Three schools which brought in the most cartons were invited to attend the event.

The milk carton structure of 7m in height, 29m length and 14.07m in width has been designed by the students of the Facultad de Arquitectura de Granada (Granada’s Architectural College).
