‘Seabird’, the ultimate concept phone from Mozilla
Mozilla makes the world’s friendliest web browser, a.k.a. Firefox, and almost every computer user loves it. Basically, the company is famous for its web browser and email client (Thunderbird). But what if the same company launches a cellphone, how would that look/feel like? Well folks, it seems Mozilla already has something in mind. Called the Seabird, this concept phone includes a built-in Pico projector, a 8 MP camera and even features wireless charging. It will be powered by Google Android.
The design originally came from Billy May who is also a Mozilla Labs community member. “Seabird was created by Billy May, a Mozilla Labs community member who in early 2009 created an initial vision of what an Open Web mobile phone could look like. Seabird is Billy’s followup project in which he incorporated the feedback he received from the wider community on his first throw-away concept.”
