Dell confirms plan for 7-inch and 10-inch tablets, takes iPad competition seriously
The 5-inch Dell Streak has been out now for a while. However, the device didn’t quite take off as Dell expected. May be it was the size, may it was just the older Android 1.6, no one quite knows for sure. But the company still plans to capture the lucrative “tablet” market. Michael Dell, the company CEO, recently demonstrated a 7-inch tablet that impressed almost everyone in the conference, recently held in San Francisco. Although Dell didn’t reveal the specs, the company promised to deliver the product within a “few weeks”.
That’s not all. In another 6-12 months, Dell will also have a 10-inch tablet device ready. Looks like the “tablet world” is getting more interesting. The Apple iPad is still at the top of the list (by far) though, with a whopping 3 million sold in under 5 months.
