Currently, Microsoft has four retail stores in the US. They are located at Scottsdale (AZ), Mission Viejo (CA), San Diego (CA) and Lone Tree (CO). But there’s one more coming up. The company plans to open up a new store just opposite to that of the Apple store at the ‘Mall of America’ in Twin Cities, Minnesota (Minneapolis suburb). So it does look like rivalry continues to live, as there isn’t too many other ways you can top this. The banner at the store shows “Microsoft Store coming soon…”, as of now.

Microsoft has always been very cautious in opening its retail stores, of which all four are located in the US only. In contrast to that, Apple has around 310 store world-wide.
