Looks like Apple isn’t the only company that can sell mobile phone handsets in millions, that too in a short period of time. For here comes Samsung, a company that has sold over 5 millions Galaxy S mobile phones to date, out of which 2 million have been sold in the US alone while 1 million in South Korea. The device was originally launched in March 2010 and runs Android 2.1. The UI featured in the phone is based on Samsung’s own TouchWiz 3.0. Needless to say, the device is feature packed, with a super AMOLED 4-inch screen and a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor that runs Adobe Flash fluid smooth.
Samsung recently announced that the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab will soon be available in Japan where it expects to continue its success.
