New fish species found 26,000 miles under the Pacific Ocean
The “ghostly” white snail fish you see above has been recently found near the Peru-Chile trench in the southern part of Pacific Ocean. The group of marine biologists who found this new species was led by Alan Jamieson of the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. It is truly hard to image how a fish can actually sustain where the “sunlight never penetrates and water pressure is almost 10,000 pounds per square inch.”
