It is a known fact that we get attracted towards uncommon and unique ideas and if it happens to be a residential place or a building, we get eager to see how it actually looks like? Check out this Stair House, the name of which instantly arouses curiosity.

Built for a family of four, the house was designed keeping certain factors in mind. The couple (who are teachers) wanted to have a home which provided not only privacy but bring in natural light and hence warmth. In addition to this they also needed a space for their students to assemble and have discussions.

So what resulted was this Stair House which meets all the above criteria. Designed by y+Mdo, the Stair House features an array of stairs which is actually the outer wall of the structure and needless to mention, meant for large group gatherings. Glass partitions in between the stairs allow natural light to enter while windows are positioned to allow both privacy and sunlight. The staircase form can be seen adjacent to the garden.
