Google Docs soon to be available for your mobile phone

November 17th, 2010 | 3 Comments | Posted in Google, Software

Google Docs has been around for quite a while now. Although there isn’t any shortage of office productivity tools for the iPhone and Android devices, Google Docs didn’t quite have the required features to be considered as a mobile office “on-the-go” application.

However, things will be different soon. Google Docs will now allow editing your .doc document right from your phone. Just go to docs.google.com from your mobile browser “and select the document you want to edit. Then, when you’re viewing it, press the Edit button to switch to the mobile editor.”

Although the features would seem rather basic, they would be good enough for most avid smartphone users. At this time only Android Froyo (version 2.2) and iOS 3 or above are supported.
