Nokia’s N900 gets Android 2.3 port

December 22nd, 2010 | 1 Comment | Posted in Hardware, Software

Since all N900 users are well aware of Maemo’s future, most of them seem to be trying hard to port an OS that actually has a future. This time hackers tried porting Android 2.3 a.k.a. Gingerbread into the phone, and guess what…quite a few parts actually work.

Stuff like cellular data, Wi-Fi and sound seems to be a go. More is expected to work in the upcoming build. Thanks to Alexey Roslyakov.
