The world’s fastest solar-powered vehicle revealed

What you see above is a solar-powered vehicle, and that too the fastest one on the planet. Developed at the University of New South Wales in Australia,  the Sunswift IVy just got into the records books of Guinness World Record, for reaching the top speedof 88.738 km/hr.

Sunswift has broken the Guiness World Land-Speed record for a solar-powered vehicle. The record was set at 88.8km/h by Sunswift IVy on the 7th of January, 2011. The previous record was set by General Motors Sunraycer, which travelled 79km/h on roughly 1500 Watts.
