January 12th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Life

With an astonishing length of 26.4 miles (42.48 km), the Qingdao Haiwan Bridge in China is by far the longest bridge ever built. More than the three times the length of the previous record holder (Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana), the Qingdao Haiwan Bridge took 4 years to be built. The $8.58 billion bridge certainly marks a new milestone in China’s economic success.
