The Fungi Lamp with growth marks
We have seen a variety of lamp structures inspired by nature, and to be specific even some that looked like mushrooms. The Fungi Lamp by Andreas Kowalewski is unexpectedly different from what we have seen before. Words from the designer who makes these lamps in a variety of colors and sizes are as follows:
The lamps are made out of a nylon webbing, bonded together through a special glue technique. With their unconventional construction, each lamp silhouette shows literally a gradual growth like a tree and reveals traces of imperfection of the process. The illuminated fabric creates an unique and mystical light effect.
