Humongous Water cannon in China for fighting fires

February 10th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Life

We were kind of taken by surprise as by the looks we never expected it to be a water cannon. A part of the fire truck, this huge system has been concocted to control skyscraper fires in Luoyang city of China.

The cannon is able to gush out 4 tons of water per minute through distances of 400 feet. It also has about a 360° rotational capability. Now if you are wondering what powers it, then all credit goes to a jet fighter engine that is responsible for the water blast. When every detail seems to be out-of-scale, it is evident that so is the price. Well, it is $456,000!
