Recycled ‘Garbage’ Lamps

March 2nd, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Design

You never knew lamps could sprout from almost any object until you laid eyes upon these exquisite pieces. Be it a stove, a top-hat with telephone, kettle, or even an oil-can in conjunction with pastry molds, each piece instantly strikes a chord with us. The light fixtures in addition to making a unique statement at times, drive you nostalgic.

Instead of trashing when non-functional, the collection focuses on the possibility of a second life for the daily household items. Yes, you could call it recycling. All of the lighting fixtures titled ‘Garbage’ have been crafted by Gilles Eichenbaum based in Paris whose slogan is “Your trash have talent“.

The lamps featured here are: Arsene Lupin, Andew Sisters, Summer Kitchen, Blanquette de Veau, North Star, Tea with Mint.
