Plastic city, Shanghai
A new take on Shanghai by artist Bang-yao Liu features a plastic version of the city. He is fascinated by the ever-evolving city and thus replicates it by making a model with simple plastic items that were procured from Shanghai’s local market. The Taiwanese artist made use of colorful boxes, baskets, dustpans, stools and other plastic objects to create the Plastic City.
Since the objects were put one above the other, carefully placing them was a big factor, since a small mistake could topple the whole model. Video attached shows glimpses of the stop-motion.
