Rain, rain come again! You would have said so if you had one of these growing raincoats. Replicating the idea that is used in vertical gardening on buildings, designer Airi Isoda from Wrk-shp has created this Tyvek raincoat which keeps you dry but simultaneously makes use of the rain to let the greens pop up.
Each Tyvek [recyclable and high density fiber] coat comes with a number of pockets laden with wheat grass. The material is such that it admits water vapor through but not liquid water so that you do good and so do the plants whenever it rains.
The ‘green’ raincoat is a part of the Wrk-shp’s Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. We definitely like the amusing idea of utilizing rainwater and growing plants in this way.
