Enjoying your favorite music while bundled up in a comfy chair definitely sounds awesome but how about a chair that literally makes you feel the music? Woofer Chair, as the name suggests, is a loudspeaker-cum-chair which does exactly that by physically blurring the distance between the listener and the sound produced. Fitted with sophisticated sound actuators, the music pulsates through the fiberglass structure of the chair to reach the user unabated.
“The Woofer Chair’s subtle duality is captured in its form – a “driver” that produces sound encased in a “cabinet” – the soft ergonomic inner portion tightly stretched over the hard fibreglass outer shell. Its sheer size gives gravitas to the low bass resonances while the tapering of its sides to mere millimetres is a nod to the treble timbres.”
Woofer Chair by Ministry of Design has been created for Saporiti Italia.
