NYC garbage in a box just for you

July 13th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Life

Would you shell out 50 bucks to own a specimen of New York City’s garbage? Picked out genuinely from NYC garbage and packed neatly in Lucite cubes, each package reflecting the iconic city’s trash does make it around the world. Believe it or not but 1300 cubes have already been picked up by collectors in more than 30 countries.

While regular cubes are priced at $50.00, those from events like “the World Series at Yankee Stadium, New Year’s Eve in Times Square and the Republican National Convention ”   come with a price tag of $100. The cubes designed by Justin Gignac are signed, numbered and dated for authenticity.

In March 2007, the first international edition of NYC Garbage was created, thanks to a commission by the organizers of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland.
