July 19th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Science

Skin is a vital part of our body and when burnt needs restoration. Although there are various treatment techniques available, the Skin Gun [ still in developmental stage] has shown excellent results in terms of both time taken for the process and healing.

Jorg C. Gerlach of McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine presents this Skin Cell Gun which is capable of spraying skin cells on the wound just as one would do in spray painting.

The process involving collection of skin and spraying takes about one and half hours while healing could be as fast as within 4 days. More than a dozen patients have been treated with success so far. To know more check out the video.
