The Seesaw water saving faucet

August 17th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Design

Seesaw Faucet designed by Chanhee Han eliminates water wastage when a person uses soap to wash off dirt from the palms. The idea is to stop the flow of water when the user spends time to obtain soap and consequently rubs the hands to form a lather.

The faucet has been designed to dispense both water and liquid soap wherein it moves like a seesaw to release water from one end and soap from the other end. After soaking hands with water when the user presses down the soap dispensing end, the action simultaneously stops the water flow from the other end thus keeping a check on unnecessary water loss. On a larger scale it definitely adds up to a noteworthy amount.
