The Edible House in the Netherlands

October 7th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Life

Does the Edible House remind you of Hansel and Gretel’s encounter with the enchanting candy house? It should but instead of sugary delights this house called Eethuis is all about a structure of vegetables and fruits.

Eethius by Atelier Gras is a garden in the shape of a house that grows vegetables on its walls and roof! It is actually a modular structure in which the plants have been grown in individual plastic crates. That is why this temporary Summer structure is even easy to disassemble. The edible house, an inspiration for little home gardens was set up in Appeltern, The Netherlands.
