For many waking up on time is no less than an ordeal. May be that is why there have been intriguing alarm clocks to help them out. What we have here today is the Acoustic Alarm catering to those who would like to wake up to guitar strums rather than the usual cacophony of alarm clocks.

Acoustic Alarm by Jamie McMahon is an alarm system that has been hand-built of birch plywood, walnut and stainless steel. It mimics the look and working of a stringed instrument and when powered on is capable of sounding at the time set. You might find it interesting to note that although a clock, it doesn’t show time. That is because it doesn’t intend to be a constant reminder of passing time to the user but otherwise assist in waking up the intended user with subtle tones.
