Rubik’s cube could be fun for some, could be interesting for some while for some it can be just a puzzle to while away time with. Although most of us might dread at the thought of a solving a Rubik’s cube, there are a few who can live up to the challenge and make it work at mind blowing speeds.

So how about 5.66 seconds for the 3×3 Rubik’s cube which is the current solving time period by a human? Undoubtedly impressive but this robot called CubeStormer II takes the cake away with a time span of 5.35 seconds!

The machine has been built with Lego using four MINDSTORMS NXT kits and functions in association with “a Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone running a custom Android app as the robot’s brain. This ARM Powered robot was designed, built and programmed by Mike Dobson and David Gilday.”
