Painted installation that blurs the line between 3D and 2D

Just think what would have happened if the portrait in a painting suddenly moved and got alive? Sounds like a terrific horror movie plot but what we see here is nothing of that sort yet absolutely astonishing. This definitely looks like a painting but what if we said that the model and TV were real; like actual 3D subjects!

Alexa Meade makes this marvelous installations using models whom she paints so that they look like paintings. When they are photographed with a correlated surrounding they seem to merge as if a part of a painting. The installations in order are Mediation, Transit, Spectacle, Blueprint and Curated.

You can see the artist in some of the installations below applying acrylic paint while also being a part of her creations. Check out the video to wonder at her awesome skills.
