Personal heater Lumus for cold working conditions

December 2nd, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Design

Lumus is a personal heating system designed specifically for those who have to work outdoors in the cold. The device which can be carried around easily consists of a heating element and a fan.

When required the user has to keep it on the ground and stand on it. As it is switched on the heating element gets activated along with the integrated fan which “boosts the naturally ascending air flow and produces a pleasant heat cone enclosing the user“.

Lumus concept is a heating option without open fire and CO2 emission and hence can be used indoors too. Designed by Julia Rotenberger & Oliver Eckstein, it is a James Dyson Award entry. To know more click here.
