Trash metamorphosises into gigantic butterflies

December 5th, 2011 | No Comments | Posted in Environment

Take a look again! Elegant and mesmerizing, the butterflies have been created from what we identify as ‘trash’ which include “piano keys, broken china, license plates, rusty tin cans, electrical wire, bottlecaps, and other miscellaneous items.” Can you believe it?

Michelle Stitzlein makes these amazing butterfly sculptures collecting and putting together bits and pieces of discarded materials that lay around unnoticed. Her creations are definitely inspirational. May be it’s time for all of us to take note of our gorgeous nature as depicted by these butterflies before the situation goes out of hand with our trash pile up.
