The Galaxy Nexus is now on sale in the US. It is hard to miss the 1-liner micro-ad that says, “New! HD display, 4G, Face Unlock. Introducing the first phone with Android 4.0” from Google’s homepage. The device is available from Verizon Wireless, Wirefly, Best Buy and Samsung.
The phone was originally unveiled in Hong Kong on 19 October 2011 and in Europe on 17 November 2011. The Galaxy Nexus is a collaboration of Samsung and Google. It is officially the first phone to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and features a laser-sharp 1280 x 720 super-AMOLED curved HD display with a massive 4.65-inch screen size. The device is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4460 processor (ARM Cortex-A9) and has a 1 GB of RAM. So how is Android 4.0?
