Believe it or not, scaling buildings could be this fast. The special passenger elevator designed for the Shanghai Tower is said to be the fastest in the world traveling at a speed of 59feet/s.

To put it simply it would lift up passengers from the basement to the observation deck in a span of time that can be counted in seconds…yes, it won’t even take a minute. The elevator is under construction and would be ready by 2014, making an ascent of about 2000 feet a breathtaking but breezy affair!
