Fluidity recycles drained water from dishes to grow herbs

June 6th, 2012 | No Comments | Posted in Design

A lot of water goes wasted when drops drip and collect from the hand-washed tableware that are let to air dry. However Fluidity makes an effort to use the same water for herbs to grow.

Although a dish drying rack, Fluidity comes with spaces where herbs can be grown. The respective spaces are layered with clay pellets and coconut fiber to maintain the moist environment for the plant while also keeping the tray bottom clean. The thoughtful shape of the Fluidity allows the water trickling from the dishes to find its way to the roots of the planted herb thus displaying dual functionality.

Fluidity comes from DesignLibero, a design studio in Milan.
