The World’s Largest Atlas
Get a detailed view and perspective of our beautiful Earth in the world’s largest atlas! Measuring 1.8m in height and 1.4m in width, the large book opens up to extend 2.8m and weighs more than 300lb.
Titled Earth Platinum, the book took about 4 years in the making and got published in February 2012. The mastermind behind the project is Gordon Cheers who with a team of 88 cartographers from around the world has made the large scale undertaking possible that includes 128 pages of maps, flags and panoramic photographs.
Printed in Italy and bound in HongKong, the publisher of the atlas is Australia’s Millennium House. Restricted to just 31 editions, the book comes with a price tag of $100,000.
