Living Pixels are lamps crafted out of discarded banners

July 17th, 2012 | No Comments | Posted in Design, Environment

A shiny treat for the eyes indeed! Sparkling with colors, the irregular shaped lamps have been put together from banners which were first cut into pieces and then sewed together.

The banners were previously sorted with respect to like colors before they were transformed into the gorgeous lights. Since the banners are printed on a single side, without light, they appear white. When switched on, the lights called Living Pixels bloom with magnificent hues as the rays pass through the banners while some popping out from the gaps.

Living Pixels has been designed by Chan Wan Ki, Kay / Chen Siu Wa, Shai Chai / Suen Ka Hei, Catherine.
