Reversed Volumes Bowls show off natural structures of vegetables and fruits
Nature is fascinating in many ways; one of which is the bountiful display of patterns and structures. Taking a cue from nature, Reversed Volumes bowls were created that splendidly show off these amazing wonders.
The collection has been made by using the exterior texture of different vegetables/fruits as can be seen in the picture below. Thus the bowls instead of the usual plain interior display a set of textures that is wholly natural. They are made in ceramic and come in colors corresponding to the vegetable/fruit. Although food safe, the bowls cannot be used for liquid food and aren’t dishwasher safe.
Produce that have been used in the set are cauliflower, celeriac, cabbage, melon, red beet, fennel, green apple, yellow pepper and orange.
The unique bowl set credited to Mischer’traxler was formerly “developed for FoodMarketo, a pop up shop organised by DesignMarketo, Apartamento Magazine and Marion Friedmann during Milan Design Week 2010.”
