The Magic Tray holds on to whatever is kept on it even if it tilts

July 27th, 2012 | No Comments | Posted in Design

Many of us are not quite apt at balancing things. For example handling a tray full of food and walking simultaneously could be intimidating. For those people Magic Tray comes by as the solution.

The Magic Tray which is specially built uses magnetic properties to help with the balancing acts. The tray comes with two parts with a magnetic plate attached to the lower part. A switch on each end of the tray sets the magnetism to on/off mode. The vessels too come with magnets embedded at the bottom.

When someone holds the tray, the person actually forces the upper and lower parts of the tray to come together activating magnetism resulting in attachment of the dishware to the tray. Thus the plates, bowls and glasses do not fall off even if tilted. When the user keeps the tray on the table and releases the end buttons, the magnetic attraction is switched off allowing the dishes to be transferred to the table.

Magic Tray has been designed by Ryan Jongwoo Choi.
