There have been speculations for an iPad Mini for a long time, almost too long to not to be true. The device is expected to be fairly smaller than the standard iPad and feature the same Lightning connector as the new iPhone 5. Rumors indicate that Apple will announce the iPad Mini on October 17.
Apple announced today that the company sold over 5 million iPhone 5 units in the first three days. The device was available for sale on September 21. In addition to that the company also revealed that over 100 million iOS devices have been updated to iOS6 since its release.

The Chinese website BoloPad claims to have a couple of “spy” photos of the rumored iPad Mini. They seem to be certain this is the real deal. Measured at 7.85 inches, it seem to also feature Apple’s latest connector technology, a.k.a. Lightning.
Apple stocks (AAPL) hit a record $700 a share, after the company announced that the iPhone 5 pre-orders surpassed the 2 million mark in just 24 hours. Stocks peaked at $701.90 a share today.
In spite of all the complaints against the iPhone 5, all the mockery, all the stat comparisons, the world’s best selling smartphone still seems to be…well, the best selling smartphone. Apple will start shipping the iPhone 5 on September 21st. For iPhone fans, the 5th avatar is arguably the best thing that has happened since the original iPhone itself. The first version was launched in 2007. It was a revolution then. Apple completely re-defined how a cellphone should work and showed the world what a cellphone should actually be. And then the others followed.
